I was texting Rina sometime last week (or was it this week?), and was telling her the unhappy things that happened to me lately. She said it's a "series of unfortunate events." So that's the title of this blog. Here goes...

These all happened within the last two weeks:

1. My umbrella was stolen 9 days ago. It's new and I only kept it for 8 days!
2. Last thursday, I locked my locker key inside my locker. (Tongue twister huh?)
3. Friday. I found the extra key at home and finally opened my locker. Then on Monday, I detached the two keys from my ID lace and put them in my wallet. What am I thinking? Absent-mindedly, I locked my wallet inside the locker.
4. Last January, I wasn't reading the quotes I received in my phone. That's just to see how many quotes I get in a month. After around four weeks, I had 258 unread messages. Now my phone's got a virus. I have barely 30 messages in my phone and it's already telling me this: "Memory low. Delete some data." Did several things just to fix the issue but the same error message keeps on popping up. Right now, I can't send messages. I can't even add new contacts.
5. James C., our trainer, told us that we'll be assigned in Makati next week. For good.

What a bummer.

But the good news in all this is every thing can be replaced or fixed. Thank God.

1. I got another umbry. Not new though.
2. After filing my request, someone from the security department had force opened my locker. Destroyed my padlock in the process, so I bought a new keyless lock (roughly 200 bucks from Ace hardware) in which I'd just have to turn the dials correctly to unlock it.
3. Goodbye Libis... Sunny side up: I'll get to see Rina & Khala in Makati.

Oops. I remember one of my old favorite sayings...
"Everything happens for a reason, and the ultimate outcome will benefit me."

Now that took out all the crappiness I felt.

Watch out for my next posts about the "virus" problem...

BARKADA REUNION!!!

Last Friday (Feb 29), I met Lyka, Sam, Ianne, Khacie & Whei at Robinsons Galeria. I have to say that I did something unpretty just so I could meet them... But let's not go into details. Hehe. Nothing serious. So as I was saying, I met up with my old college friends. Sayang 'coz I miss her na rin. We talked and laughed and talked and laughed for like an hour or two. Mega daldalan. Sobrang nakakatuwa si Lyka 'cause she had a lot of things to share! Haha. But mostly about, ehrm, this particular topic. Hehe. Then we decided to watch "My Big Love". Gusto kasi naming matawa.... Watch a movie that doesn't require one to think deep. So despite Sam's eh-yan-ang-papanoorin-namin-ng-highschool-friends-ko drama and my gusto-ko-sana-yung-Jumper-kasi-nandun-si-Hayden hesitation, pinanood nga namin. In fairness, nakakatawa naman. But it was so obvious that Sam Milby's grossly fat physique wasn't real. They could have put more effort on his costume and makeup. Like Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor. Toni was so pretty... and kinda skinny na. Grabe, na-inspire ako magpapayat! Hahaha. May quote nga akong nakuha sa movie eh.. I think it was Toni (Aira) who said this: "Aayusin ko na lang kesa magreklamo." She was talking about the mishaps or misfortune that people get. Instead of whining or being bitter, she'd rather work hard to overcome these things. That was nice, right?

After that, we went to Metrowalk, which reminded me of Eastwood by the way. Gimikan place din. Lotsa restos, bars, coffee shops, and party people or night crawlers. Hehe. We ate at BBQ Boy, past the stretch of Korean restos where I actually saw Jang Geum's big poster on one establishment. Hahaha. "Kapitan Miiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!"

Then after eating and another round of continuous talking and laughing (walang sawa!), tumambay kami sa Starbucks. It's close to midnight na rin. We then decided na matulog na lang kala Ianne. She had to go home.

So we took a cab and went to Marikina. Tambay sandali sa salas. Sound trip at kwentuhan ulit. =)Pag-akyat sa room ni Ianne, we changed clothes. Shempre lahat c/o Ianne (and Lico). Hehe. Kasi wala naman kaming dalang damit eh. Hay... You probably know what happened next. KWENTUHAN ulit! Hahaha. Kulitan. Picture-taking. Kulitan. Kwento. Kwento. Ang saya saya. Grabe, na-miss ko talaga sila.

Kinabukasan, 'twas around 9am na yata nung nagising kami. Kulitan ulit. Picture-taking. Kulitan. Then we ate breakfast. Eto ang winning moment na nangyari while we were eating: Lyka was squeezing the peanut butter sachet in hope of some more peanut butter (na medyo ubos na rin talaga)...

Hay... Sadness. I'm starting to miss them na...

LOVE YOU, GIRLFRIENDS! SEE YOU AGAIN SOON! Smooches* ^_^

Ligo, kain, then left for work na. Inaantok pa nga ako nun eh... Bakit kasi may pasok pa kami ng Saturday... Hay gulay.)
